Workshops

Finding just the right speaker for an event can be a challenge. Throughout my professional career I was responsible for hundreds of events, from small business training sessions to large multi-day conferences. It didn't take me long early in my career to realize that the success of an event came down to the quality and expertise of the speakers. If they captured the audience with their presentation or workshop, we had a successful event. If they didn't, well…it could be a long and not so informative event. Like you, I took very serious my responsibility of finding just the right fit for our events. Which meant I spent many hours researching speakers and facilitators. With that in mind, I created this page to make it easy for you to get the information you need to make the best decision possible for your event. As you get to know me better you'll know that I'm very honored that you are considering me for your event. Thank you.

A Little Bit About Me

Over the past decade I have devoted my time to writing, coaching, and speaking in areas that I have the upmost passion about: Intimacy with Prostate Cancer™, Men’s Work, Entrepreneurship and Martial Arts.

I have been speaking publicly for more than 30 years. Early in my career I hosted my own radio show. I have conducted more than 100 workshops and presentations. I have also been behind and in front of the camera in films, commercials and training videos.

I have spent most of my career in small business consulting, politics and government, most recently as a Community Builder for the US Department of Housing and Urban Development.

I have written 5 books. My two latest, Recaptured Love: Intimacy-Sex and Prostate Cancer and Men of Color: Men of Honor.

I have 3 adults sons. I live in metro Detroit with my cat, Mr. Tibbs. In my free time, I enjoy small urban farming, cooking, reading, martial arts, and hand drumming.

I love words. The word for today is:

fantasticate |fanˈtastiˌkāt|

verb [ with obj. ] rare

make (something) seem fanciful or fantastic: I do not think I have fantasticated these accounts.
