About

Hello, I’m Zanti Meko-Qwanzi. I am the author of Men of Color: Men of Honor; the Think Beyond Belief: Success & Gratitude Core-Direction Journals and the book series Recaptured Love: Intimacy-Sex and Prostate Cancer I, II, and III (coming soon).

I am the founder of Intimacy Coaching University™, Intimacy with Prostate Cancer™ and iCountability Mindset™ coaching programs and seminars.

Zanti Meko-Qwanzi is what I call my creative name. It is a pseudonym that I use in addition to Kevin Alexzander and Brian Alexzander. I use on a daily basis my common name, B. Kevin Lauderdale. As a reader of Men of Color: Men of Honor you’re already aware how my name of Zanti Meko-Qwanzi was born. I’ll share my story of how Kevin Alexzander came about or was born.

In the mid-nineteen nineties I was the Regional Director of the Michigan Small Business Development Center at Wayne State University. I was scheduled to give a luncheon keynote address at a small business conference in Detroit, Michigan. After several weeks of planing and communicating with the event coordinator I arrived at the location for my presentation. When I approached the luncheon room I noticed that the signage in front of the room read, Luncheon Keynote Speaker, Kevin Alexzander with my title of Regional Director. Well I was a little surprised and at first wasn’t sure if I was in the right place. The event coordinator even after several weeks of communications had mistakenly used Kevin Alexzander instead of B. Kevin Lauderdale in all the signage at the event. What struck me about all of this is… I liked the name, Kevin Alexzander, and decided right then I was going to use that as a pen name in the future. So that’s how Kevin Alexzander was born.

My business is structured around my three pseudonyms and I use each one for the 3 major passions I have in my life. Zanti Meko-Qwanzi is used in my work with self-growth and development, men’s work and independent thinking.  Kevin Alexzander is used in my work with, Intimacy with Prostate Cancer™, and my other pseudonym, Brian Alexzander , is used in my work with entrepreneurship.

My Content

One of the major passions and missions in my life is to help men navigate and create success and freedom in their lives.

To that end, I write on a variety of topics from success, freedom, health, writing, urban survival, independent thinking, relationships, politics, entrepreneurship and current events. I’ll also write about other topics, that for whatever reason may interest me at a given time that don’t neatly fit into the categories I listed. A fair amount of what I write about will be seen as controversial, as can be expected from a man who thinks independently.

Coming soon, I will have a weekly podcast called Men Thinking Independently. The podcast will also feature experts in the categories I mentioned above and we’ll cover similar topics as those on the blog.

My goal is to create honest, insightful and relevant content that you can put to work in your life—today. My desire for you is to have the most fulfilling life of success and freedmom possible–if this is what you also desire–then this website is for you.

I typically post two times a week, sometimes more. To make sure you don’t miss my newest post, you can subscribe to my newsletter by adding your email address in the form on this page. It’s quick, easy, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

make (something) seem fanciful or fantastic: I do not think I have fantasticated these accounts.
